Julie was born and raised in Taiwan and she moved to the USA in 2017 to fulfill her dream of gaining a Master’s degree in Music. She started playing Violin and Piano at the age of 4. She majored in violin and piano, and she had professional education in music from elementary school to high school in Taiwan. As the years progressed, her passion and love for music grew stronger. Eventually, the love she had for music led her to become a composer!
Julie finished her Bachelor’s degree in Music Composition from the University of Taipei in 2017. Shortly after that, she moved to New York and finished her Master's degree at Mannes School of Music in New York in 2019. After graduating from her first Master’s degree, she then moved to California and finished her second Master’s in Music Scoring at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco in 2022.
Julie has over 8 years of professional teaching experience to students of all ages, ranging from as young as 3 years old to adults, beginners to professional level. She teaches with love, compassion, and patience. Her goal is always to understand each and every student’s needs in order to tailor lessons and to provide positive feedbacks to encourage learnings.
She cares tremendously that her students will not only gain the playing techniques but also fully understand the right music knowledge and theory.
With her extensive background in music, she also helps students prepare for
ABRSM piano, violin, music theory exams, Guild Exam, and state/international competitions. Over 50 students have earned ABRSM Grade 1-8 instrument certifications and Grade 5 music theory certificate. Several students have won top prizes in international competitions and have been invited to perform in New York Carnegie Hall and LA.

來自台灣、台北，現居美國舊金山
4歲開始學鋼琴和小提琴，於台灣接受小學至高中音樂班專業教育，
期間主修小提琴，師承林如蘋教授、黃芷唯教授，鋼琴師承陳冠宇教授 。
高中時與李和莆教授學習作曲。
2013於台北市立大學音樂系取得學士學位。
2017赴美，獲紐約Mannes School of Music 曼尼斯音樂學院獎學金，
進入該校就讀並取得理論作曲碩士學位，師承 Missy Mazzoli 教授。
2019 移居舊金山，獲Academy of Art University獎學金，
進入該校就讀並取得電影配樂碩士學位，師承 Gunnard Doboze 教授。
教學經驗超過8年，學生年齡從4歲到成人，學生程度從初學至考級、比賽皆有，
在台期間帶領音樂班密集訓練、音樂班升學輔導家教，赴美學習的同時在音樂教室教小提琴、鋼琴以及樂理。
教學目標是讓孩子在快樂輕鬆的環境下學習到最扎實的技巧、樂理方面擁有正確的知識，
讓學生能夠在未來能夠彈奏任何自己想彈的曲子。
此外，Julie老師擁有豐富的ABRSM英皇考級、國際比賽、Guild Exam等等的準備經驗，
針對不同的學生給予適合他們的學習方式與課本，
教學以來有超過50位學生取得ABRSＭ英皇1-8級樂器檢定以及樂理5級證書，
數位學生獲得國際比賽首獎、二等獎，並受邀至紐約卡內基音樂廳、LA 演出。
彈琴、拉琴只是學習音樂的一部分，音樂應該是一種享受，能夠豐富生命與增加涵養，
希望能帶給孩子的不只是學習一樣樂器或技能，而是帶給他們更長遠的音樂之路。
